Meet Dory...

One Saturday afternoon, we took Averi to our local "mini-zoo"...a.k.a PetSmart! She loves going there to see all the puppies, kittens, birds, and fish! This particular day she asked for a fish, so we agreed to get one as long it was low maintenance. So what better than a male Beta fish named Dory. Yes, we realize that Dory is a girl, but she insisted that is what we should call him!! It's not her first fish, just the first to live longer than one night!! Back in the fall, she won a goldfish at a Fall Festival and named him "Nemo". He didn't make it through the night and we held a fish funeral outside in our backyard where he is currently buried!! Anyways, we've now had Dory for two and a half weeks and he's doing well. Ave does a great job feeding him twice a day with more than he can possibly handle!
