Pictures with Santa

Averi & Santa 2007
Last year was Averi's first year to take a picture with Santa and it didn't turn out so well. It wasn't the type of picture of your child that you would typically brag about, but it was classic enough to show off. Since Santa has arrived at the mall, every time we've been there we've shown him to her so she would become acquainted with him. She'd smile & wave and even call his name. So, on Saturday morning, we decided we would try our luck again this year.

Happy Birthday, Averi!!

Then...
Averi was born Monday, November 20, 2006 @ 12:18pm...don't pay any attention to the time on the picture. We forgot to reset the time & it was actually an hour fast!
Now...

I cannot believe my baby girl is 2 today!! Where has the time gone?? It seems just like yesterday that we were awaiting her arrival. I can remember the night before checking into the hospital & the day she was born all so vividly! Oh! She has definitely been a blessing in our life. And I truly cannot remember what it was like without her(probably really boring!!). Averi is the LOVE of our life!
This is one her pictures from her 2 year session with Shoot To Finish. She didn't want to wear any of the clothes I brought specifically for her pictures, so instead we played "dress up" with what Ms. Deanna had at the studio!! She's certainly turning into a little girl...(notice, the shirt she's wearing says "Miss Behavin'" haha!)

BOO!! My Averi is turning 2...

Well, not really until November 20th, but we did have an early celebration. I guess we'll just have to party for another 20 days!!Averi & Dawson's Halloween Birthday party had a great turn out. I think (and hope) that everyone had a fun timeand enough to eat! All of our closest friends & family joined us for this celebration and made it that much more special for our little pumpkins! Averi was Miss Peacock and Dawson was a cowboy. We had a lion, tigers, monkeys, kittens, dinosaurs, storm troopers, HSM's Gabriella, witches, ghosts, tinkerbell, etc! I think the jumpy/bouncy/slide thing was a HUGE (literally) hit espcially with the older children! It was a pain to set up & pack up and I didn't even take a single picture of it!! We were told that it was approximately 450 pounds---if you think I'm exaggerating, then just ask Allen & my brother!! They did a great job! I was so busy in & out of the house, that I didn't even have the chance to visit with some of our guests! If you were one of those people, I sincerely apologize & I wish I could have visited with you longer!! Sadly...we never had the chance to take a few minutes to take a family photo. Hopefully, we'll take one on her actual birthday!!
waiting to sing "Happy Birthday"
Here is a slideshow of the pictures that were worthy of posting. Included is just a portion (not even half!!) of the families that were here celebrating with us...I never had the chance to get a picture of everyone here!
