Wow!! It's Fall already and time to visit the Pumpkin Patch!! On Friday, October 9, 2009, Averi got to go on her very first school field trip. Allen & I went with her class of course! We couldn't miss out on our baby's first school trip! It had rained the whole week with expectations of rain on the day of our trip also, but her school was going regardless! So we went prepared with our rain jackets & rain boots in hand...luckily the rain held off until we returned home that afternoon! We went to the Pumpkin Patch Farms in Blue Mountain, MS...it was all 3 ours first time to visit. It was not bad...the children had a lot of fun. The school packed a brown bag lunch for everyone and had a picnic! They jumped in bounce houses, watched a haybale theater skit, went through a hay maze, fed the animals, had duck races with the water pumps, train ride, and of course...picked pumpkins! What fun!! UNTIL, Averi jumped and landed on her left arm wrong!! It happened at the end of the trip, so luckily she got to enjoy the majority of her trip. As soon as we got back to campus, we said Bye to her classmates & teachers and went to get an xray of her poor arm! It was swollen and she wouldn't move it without crying or screaming. Scared us to death!! Thankfully, it was not fractured...just seriously sprained! My dad splinted it & placed in a sling and she felt a little better! She wore it for about 5days and was a great sport about it! She didn't let it slow her down any...she's one tough little girl!! Even though she had a big boo-boo, it was just so great to see my little girl interact with her school friends & teachers!
